Two other outfits knocked on my door after the May storm and both led with covering my deductible. These guys showed up with a printed page of the state statute that says that is illegal, then priced the roof like a roof. Decking was itemized per sheet. Ended up eleven sheets and it cost exactly what the contract said it would.

My claim came back denied on the north slope. They walked me through the five business day cancellation right, showed me the notice form I had already been given, and told me plainly that they were not allowed to argue it with my adjuster. Pointed me to a public adjuster instead. Who does that.

Called about a full metal roof and got talked out of it in about four minutes. He explained what Class 4 shingles cost against standing seam on my hip roof and said metal was a want. Put the impact shingles on in a day and a half and my carrier knocked something off the premium.

One cracked pipe boot and a bad valley. I expected the full replacement pitch and instead got a repair, a written note that the roof had maybe seven years left, and a bill under four hundred dollars.
